Job Summary:
The Executive Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue by identifying and acquiring new business opportunities with high-level decision-makers, managing complex sales processes, and building long-term relationships with key clients. This role requires a strategic, results-driven individual who can effectively communicate value propositions, negotiate high-stakes deals, and manage a portfolio of high-priority clients. Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Acquisition:
- Identify, target, and approach C-suite executives, senior decision-makers, and key stakeholders in organizations to generate new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to reach prospective clients, including networking, referrals, and cold outreach.
- Create customized sales pitches and presentations to address the specific needs of prospective clients.
- Sales Process Management:
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting, needs assessment, and proposal creation to closing deals.
- Navigate through complex sales processes and engage with multiple stakeholders in large organizations.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract details to secure high-value deals.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with senior-level clients and business partners.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic insights and value-driven solutions.
- Ensure client satisfaction and retention through regular follow-up, performance reviews, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Market Intelligence and Strategy:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to position the company’s products/services effectively.
- Use market intelligence to anticipate client needs and tailor sales strategies accordingly.
- Analyze client feedback and market dynamics to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.
- Sales Presentations and Demonstrations:
- Lead high-level sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to the client’s specific needs.
- Articulate the unique value proposition and benefits of the company’s offerings in a compelling way.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, product development, etc.) to align on messaging and product/service offerings.
- Lead the negotiation process for large and complex sales, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Effectively close deals and drive revenue generation within set timelines.
- Overcome objections and address client concerns with creative solutions.
- Reporting and Forecasting:
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, prospects, opportunities, and outcomes in the CRM system.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regularly update management on progress toward targets and quotas.
- Monitor sales performance and take proactive steps to address gaps or underperformance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (advanced degrees, such as an MBA, are a plus).
- Proven track record of success in sales, particularly in an Executive or Senior Sales Representative role.
- Strong experience selling complex products or services to senior decision-makers and C-suite executives.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels.
- Ability to manage long sales cycles and navigate complex decision-making processes within organizations.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
